On behalf of everyone here at Smiths City, we want to update you on what we’re doing to prioritise your health and safety when you shop with Smiths City, and what you can expect from us as the circumstances around COVID-19 continue to develop.As always, the most important thing to us is the health and safety of our customers, teams, and communities. So we’ve put together a dedicated team to keep a close eye on circumstances and guide our response to the situation as it develops. We’re following advice and recommendations from the Ministry of Health and other authorities with the expertise to quickly and safely guide our decisions and actions.Here’s what we’re doing: In our stores, we’re doubling down on our approach to cleanliness and hygiene, based on the Ministry of Health’s recommendations. Our stores are being cleaned with even more care to make sure they’re safe spaces for our customers and team members. The same goes for our support offices and distribution centres. Our Merchandise and Logistics teams are working closely with our suppliers and partners, both locally and internationally, to make sure everyone who supports us behind the scenes is taking precautions to protect your wellbeing as a Smiths City customer, and to manage any chance of disruptions to our ability to provide what you want and need from us. If we do experience any delays or challenges in supplying something you’ve purchased from us, you’ll hear from our Customer Support team directly. Caring for our teams is as important to us as caring for our customers. We’ve been keeping our team members all around NZ updated with information to help keep themselves and their families safe. Together, we’re being vigilant for any extra precautions we should consider taking. We’ve asked anyone who feels unwell to stay at home, and that our team members restrict their travel as much as possible for the time being. We’re ramping up support for our online services. If you feel unwell, or choose not to visit one of our stores for any reason, we’re ready to help you online, right here at smithscity.co.nz.
